Midwinter counts of wildfowl: Danube River Bratislava (Gutor)-Gabcikovo (Bős), Slovakia

This weekend is dedicated for the midwinter counts of wildfowl and other waterbirds all over Europe coordinated by Wetlands Insternational. As local guys covered most of the part of the wetlands of our county I selected to have a look at the upper section of river Danube. The weather was somehow better than on the previous days with some sun. The incredibly large number of birds made this trip impressive./Ez a hétvége a Wetlands International által koordinált télközépi vízimadárszámlálások hétvégéje volt Európa-szerte. Mivel a helyi madarászok a megyei vizes élőhelyeinket számolták le, ezért én a Duna felső szakaszát választottam. Az időjárás némileg jobb volt, mint a korábbi napokban. A madarak nagy száma lenyűgözővé tette ezt a napot.
